Our solution adds full non-IT environment monitoring capabilities to Zabbix. That means that it allows to connect sensors, machines, digital inputs, outputs etc. to Zabbix. For example thermometers, humidity sensors, liquid level and much more.

All devices are manufactured and designed in EU by BV Grupa.

It was designed to be plug-and-play compatible with Zabbix monitoring solution, so it requires minimum configuration with this system. This includes sensors autodiscovery, ready templates etc. However it can be used even without Zabbix as well – due to easy understandable XML and json output.

Initial configuration can be performed via builtin web interface.

All connected sensors and expansion boards will be autodetected

The user only has to label the sensors giving them meaningful names (what each sensor actually measures – like “oxygen pressure tank number 2”

The configuration in Zabbix is straightforward by using provided templates

Product lines

There are 2 product lines: mini board designed especially for server room monitoring and small amount of sensors, USB powered (POE option on roadmap), and industrial line with more I/O sensor options, more overvoltage / temperature range / environment conditions tolerant microcontroller.

Self documenting, no place for configuration errors

The biggest problem with physical sensors is usually the whole chain of mapping between physical sensor location/function through all intermediate protocols and devices up to Zabbix item.

The information on what each sensor is measuring is entered by techinan in the device that the sensor is connected to, while physically connecting the sensor, and later the system pushes that information to Zabbix item automatically. It means there is no place for error even if the device changes IP configuration or anything else, and it is completely foolproof in case of any future reconfiguration.

Traditional approach (modbus as an example), and BV Grupa’s devices approach to mapping between sensor location/function and Zabbix item configuration.

Quick mass deployment functionality

Upon first boot during initial configuration the boards boot with known, fixed MAC address. This allows for quick configuration by accessing all newly installed boards under one known IP address. After configuration is done the board will boot with unique MAC address for each board.
